Our Guidelines

GENERAL POLICY

  • All prices for packages, rentals and backdrops include taxes and servicing your event.

  • All items including packages, rentals and backdrops will be subjected to a delivery fee starting on September 1st, 2022.

  • Delivery fees will be added to all NYC- Five Borough packages, rentals and backdrops.

  • Delivery fee will be added to Suffolk County towns East of Nicolls Road.

  • Damages to any items provided by BackYard Events is subjected to a $200 fee per item.

 

PAYMENTS & CANCELLATIONS

EVENT DÉCOR & BACKDROP RESERVATIONS

  • A 50% deposit is required to secure your event with us.

  • Final payment is due 10 DAYS before your event.

  • Invoices will be issued once price and design are finalized, invoices expire within 7 days once sent.

  • Reservations for any item must be made at a minimum of 2-3 weeks  in advance of your event.

  • Any changes to designs/themes, MUST be made at a minimum of 7 days prior to your event date.

  • If your event requires customization/personalization, 75% deposit is required.

  • All payments can be made using Zelle, Credit or Debit Cards, we DO NOT accept CASH.

  • We DO NOT offer refunds. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, due to weather, illness or any other nature related incidents, ONLY A CREDIT will be provided to be used within 12 MONTHS of original date of event.

EVENT DÉCOR RENTAL RESERVATIONS

  • A 100% FULL PAYMENT is required to secure your rental reservation with us.

  • A $100 CASH transfer using ZELLE – RENTAL DEPOSIT MUST be made to secure your rental. Once we receive your returned rental in good condition, the deposit will be refunded.

  • Invoices will be issued once rental item is confirmed, invoices expire within 7 days once sent.

  • Customer is responsible for arranging the rental frames.

  • Reservations for any item must be made at a minimum of 2 weeks  in advance of your event.

  • Any changes to rentals, MUST be made at a minimum of 7 days prior to your event date.

  • We DO NOT offer refunds. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, due to weather, illness or any other nature related incidents, ONLY A CREDIT will be provided to be used within 12 MONTHS of original date of event. The CASH transfer will be returned.

 

DELIVERY & SERVICE

  • Mandatory 2-hour timeframe is necessary to set up your event.

  • Additional fee of $150 if your event set up time is less than 2-hours.

  • Pick Up will be at the conclusion of your event or unless otherwise agreed upon.

  • Once we leave the premises of your event, we will not be responsible for any interference. You, the client will be solely responsible for any damages, incidents or injury. We ask that you do not interfere with equipment.

  

LIABILITY

  • Customer/Client is responsible for the safety and reliability of the event venue and its furnishings. Should we arrive at an event and we have less than 2- hours to set up, customer is liable for an additional fee of $150. Customer is also responsible for any injury, loss or damage to equipment resulting from the conduct of guests and non-BackYard Events Staff.

  • Customer is responsible for all  damages to our rentals, packages or backdrops for indoor or outdoor events.

  • In the event that equipment provided by us is lost, stolen or damaged, customer agrees to pay for all repair or replacement up to the full value of the lost or damaged items, including shipping and handling.

  • Any damages to any of our rental items will result in fees being charged. This will be assessed at the time of notice and customer will pay at the time the incident is recorded.
